Hand pallet trucks for everyday warehouse work
The hand pallet truck is the simplest and most universal piece of materials handling equipment: with a tiller that operates a hydraulic pump, it lifts the pallet a few centimetres so it can be moved by hand. It needs no battery, requires hardly any maintenance and anyone can operate it after basic training.
What it is for
Short distances, loading and unloading lorries at dock level, stockrooms, shops and support for forklifts in any warehouse.
How to choose
- Capacity: the most common is 2,000 to 2,500 kg.
- Fork length: 1,150 mm for Euro pallets, longer for other formats.
- Wheels: polyurethane for smooth floors and quiet operation, nylon for rougher floors.
- Special versions: with weighing scales, in stainless steel or low-profile.
Maintenance
Inspection of the hydraulic pump and its seals, wheels and rollers, and greasing of the joints. A well-cared-for pallet truck lasts many years.
